Changing a community from the inside out means: we all work together making a difference. It starts with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He changes us from the inside out. Its also true for a family, a community, an institution, a state, a country, or the world.
Because people and culture continually change, the topics and methods used to reach people for Christ must be relevant to the experiences and needs that they are facing in everyday life. Arizona Hills Church is a community of believers mobilized to transform our community. 1 Cor. 9:19-23
Team Impact Believing that their love for Jesus needs to be acted out, this group of individuals , ranging in age from 2nd graders through seniors, give up hours of their free time each month to show Jesus love to the community. A few of the activities they are involved in are: running a food and shoe drive for Casa de Elizabeth orphanage, bringing food and water to the homeless in downtown Phoenix, and visiting with the men at Teen Challenge in New River.
Teen Challenge Arizona Hills Church has long supported the men at Teen Challenge of Arizona, a rehabilitation center in the neighboring community of New River. At Christmas, the church organizes a toy drive to supply gifts to the men's families. In the fall, the church has a similar back-to-school drive, which helps collect school supplies for the men's children. This year the church had its first clothing drive, which supplied business clothes to the men for work and job interviews.
